Charcot Therapy Centre
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy offers our members the benefits of breathing medical oxygen at higher than normal atmospheric pressure (at the Charcot Therapy Centre we operate to a maximum depth of 2ATA); which may provide relief and improved symptom management of numerous medical conditions and health concerns. In addition to hyperbaric oxygen therapy within our chamber we can also provide ‘ambient’ oxygen through external outlets which offer the benefits of oxygen for individuals who cannot access our chamber.
NB The Charcot Therapy Centre would not allow Stu to be in their chamber due to his seizure risk so he did ambient oxygen therapy.

What is oxygen therapy and how is it useful for brain tumour patients?
Oxygen therapy involves increasing the amount of oxygen in someones body. You breathe in almost pure oxygen in a special chamber or through a mask. It can enhance healing in people with a variety of conditions and energises your body. It helps with pain relief, swelling, stimulates new cell production and increases blood flow and circulation.
There are two types that Stu tried - Hyperbaric and Ambient.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) - hyper means increased, baric means the pressure.
Ambient -
may improve the sensitivity of radio-chemotherapy by increasing oxygen tension within the hypoxic regions of the neoplastic tissue
Oxygen therapy can help with so many conditions including:
Cancer
Long covid
Brain injuries
Alzheimers
Parkinsons
